Maison Valentino launches new beauty Instagram and campaign with Lady Gaga
Maison Valentino Beauty, welcome to Instagram! Heritage Italian fashion house Valentino has officially joined the social media giant as @valentino.beauty, and its first collection of posts celebrate the brand’s latest eau de parfum, Voce Viva ($123). Fronted by Oscar-winning songwriter Lady Gaga — a pop superstar known for using her fame to speak out about body positivity, the LGBTQ community, mental health and bullying as much as she is for her jaw-dropping vocals and fantastical outfits — the new juice was designed with the ethos of celebrating originality and, more specifically, its wearer’s unique voice. The campaign video features Gaga’s powerful vocals, and marks “an invitation to gather together for a more inclusive world” the brand said in a press release.

Avène’s 30th anniversary Thermal Spring Water Spray supports a great Canadian charity
Okay, this technically isn’t “new” news that dropped in our inbox this week, but we love mentioning milestone anniversaries — especially ones that give back. Earlier this month, Avène, a beloved French skincare brand for sensitive, intolerant and allergic skin, released a limited-edition can of its cult-favourite hydrating mist, Avène Thermal Spring Water Spray ($22), to mark the brand’s 30th anniversary. Although Avène’s roots began with mineral-rich spring water found in a small village in Southern France more than a century ago, the brand was officially established in 1990 and has kept on expanding into the skincare game ever since. What’s more, for every limited-edition hydrating mist sold, Avène will donate $1 to the Canadian Cancer Society. Be sure to pick yours up at a drugstore near you.
